wintry mix.

Waking at three-thirty this morning to the sound of frozen rain against the window, sounding like a stream of shattering glass, it’s perhaps not surprising that I couldn’t find easy sleep again.  It’s been a long dark-grey day, long walks in frozen slush, long subway rides, and a too-short evening before it all starts again.
