Things that do not inspire confidence, number one: All of the lights on my hallway are off. I don’t think it’s an electrical problem, since the lights in my office work. It does, however, create the vague impression that I’m working in some kind of horror movie set.
Things that do not inspire confidence, number two: I’ve just been notified that someone called in a bomb threat against this building. The UCPD decided that it wasn’t a credible threat, but just to be safe, they did a sweep through the building with bomb-sniffing dogs anyway. The dogs didn’t turn up anything, so we’re not being evacuated, but informational fliers have been posted in the hallway.
Not that I’m paranoid or anything, but I may just go home after class is over, rather than stick around and work in my office.
